Neurological Association of New Zealand

Annual Scientific Meeting

26 - 28 November 2025 | Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland

Welcome

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting of the Neurological Association of New Zealand, to be held in vibrant Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.

This year’s theme, “The Craft of the General Neurologist”, is a celebration of the skill, curiosity and adaptability that define our work in New Zealand as general neurologists and subspecialists. In a small country where we all practise general neurology, there is real strength in doing it well. We will explore how expertise across subspecialties and disciplines can deepen our understanding of disease and improve patient care. Our invited speakers work at the intersection of neurology and its allied fields, including neuroscience, neurosurgery, neuroradiology, and neuro-ophthalmology, bringing fresh perspectives that reflect the collaborative nature of modern neurological care. At the centre of it all is the general neurologist, weaving together knowledge from many domains to see the whole picture.

The meeting will also celebrate the career of our friend and colleague Dr Neil Anderson, whose wisdom, generosity and quiet leadership have shaped the landscape of neurology in New Zealand.

We warmly welcome you to Auckland and look forward to a few days of learning, reconnecting and enjoying good company.
